Information & Links you may find useful:
Libreville Airport is the only international airport in Gabon. There is no national airline, but Air France, DELTA, Royal Air Maroc, Lufthansa and South African Airways regularly connect Libreville to Paris, Casablanca, Frankfurt and Johannesburg respectively.
Visas are required by all travelers and must be obtained before arrival.
The airport has currency exchange, but it is only open during the day. Some hotels will also exchange currency.
We strongly recommend that you exchange your money and spend it all or exchange it to U.S. dollars before you leave the country as the Central African CFA franc is not widely available in the U.S.
Money and costs
Getting around Gabon:
Car hire is always more expensive than renting a vehicle with a driver, but Europcar, Hertz and Avis have offices at the airport. Transportation from Hotel to the village will be provided, and more information coming soon.
To be on the safe side, it is better not to drink the tap water in Gabon. Bottled water is widely available. Buy capped bottled water from reputable brands.
